The New South Wales Department of Trade and Investment, Regional Infrastructure and Services, commonly called NSW Trade & Investment, a department of the New South Wales Government, is responsible for driving sustainable economic growth in the Australian state of New South Wales. The department does this by working with and supporting the vast range of businesses and industries across the State to advance investment, innovation, activity and improvements across all industry sectors. The Department is led by its Director General, Mark Paterson . The Department is responsible to the Deputy Premier, Minister for the Arts and Minister for Racing, presently the Honourable Troy Grant MP; the Minister for Industry, Resources and Energy, presently the Honourable Anthony Roberts MP; the Minister for Trade, Tourism and Major Events and Minister for Sport, presently the Honourable Stuart Ayres MP; the Minister for Regional Development, Minister for Skills and Minister for Small Business, presently the Honourable John Barilaro MP; and the Minister for Primary Industries and Minister for Lands and Water, presently the Honourable Niall Blair MLC. Ultimately the ministers are responsible to the Parliament of New South Wales. ==Responsibilities== The goals of the department are to improve the performance of the NSW economy, drive economic growth in regional New South Wales, increase the competitiveness of doing business in New South Wales, secure potable water supplies, and enhance cultural, creative, sporting and recreational opportunities.
